Zinc prices declined by 0.85% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced demand from consuming industries, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Jun 3 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.85 per cent to Rs 263.35 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded lower Rs 2.25 or 0.85 per cent at Rs 263.35 per kg in 2,822 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
