Zinc prices declined by 0.25% on Thursday, reaching Rs 264.60 per kilogram due to reduced speculator activity and muted demand in the spot market.
New Delhi, Jun 27 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday fell 0.25 per cent to Rs 264.60 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded 65 paise or 0.25 per cent lower at Rs 264.60 per kg in 2,393 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
