Zinc prices declined 0.34% to Rs 252.85 per kg in futures trade due to reduced speculator exposure and weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jun 20 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.34 per cent to Rs 252.85 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded lower by 85 paise or 0.34 per cent at Rs 252.85 per kg in 2,163 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
