Zinc Futures Rise on Demand: MCX Prices Up

Zinc futures climb on MCX due to increased spot demand. January contracts rise to Rs 305/kg. Marketmen cite widening positions.
New Delhi, Dec 3 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 2 to Rs 305 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 2 or 0.66 per cent to Rs 305 per kilogram with a business turnover of 626 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
