Zinc Futures Rise on Demand

Zinc futures climb on MCX due to increased spot demand. December contracts rise to Rs 305.40 per kg. Market analysis inside.
New Delhi, Dec 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday climbed Rs 2.25 to Rs 305.40 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by Rs 2.25 or 0.74 per cent to Rs 305.40 per kilogram with a business turnover of 2,882 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
