Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI
Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to increased demand from consuming industries. The February contract gained Rs 2.25 to Rs 276.05 per kg.
New Delhi, Jan 17 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose Rs 2.25 to Rs 276.05 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded higher by Rs 2.25 or 0.82 per cent at Rs 276.05 per kg with a business turnover of 1,131 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
