Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to increased demand from consuming industries. January contracts traded higher at Rs 233.50 per kg.
New Delhi, Jan 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose 20 paise to Rs 233.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 20 paise or 0.09 per cent at Rs 233.50 per kg with a business turnover of 5,547 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
