Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) driven by increased demand from consuming industries, according to PTI. Read more.
New Delhi, Jan 24 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 3.35 to Rs 227.60 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 3.35 or 1.49 per cent at Rs 221.30 per kg with a business turnover of 3,035 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
