Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose on Thursday due to increased demand from consuming industries. The April contract traded higher at Rs 248.85 per kg.
New Delhi, Apr 18 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 0.95 to Rs 248.85 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded higher 95 paise or 0.38 per cent at Rs 248.85 per kg with a business turnover of 2,649 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
