Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. May contracts traded higher by Rs 1.80 at Rs 254.10 per kg.
New Delhi, Apr 29 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 1.80 to Rs 254.10 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded higher Rs 1.80 or 0.71 per cent at Rs 254.10 per kg with a business turnover of 3,749 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
