Zinc Futures Rise on Strong Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to increased demand from consuming industries. February contracts gained 0.32% to Rs 217.70 per kg.
New Delhi, Feb 6 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose 70 paise to Rs 217.70 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded higher 70 paise or 0.32 per cent at Rs 217.70 per kg with a business turnover of 4,429 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
