Zinc Futures Surge on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices rose on Tuesday due to increased demand from consuming industries. Futures contracts on the Multi Commodity Exchange traded higher at Rs 272.90 per kg.
New Delhi, Jul 9 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose Rs 1.35 to Rs 272.90 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded higher Rs 1.35 or 0.5 per cent at Rs 272.90 per kg with a business turnover of 2,720 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
