Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand

Zinc prices rose in the futures market on September 6 due to increased demand from consuming industries. Learn more about the factors driving the surge.
New Delhi, Sep 6 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose Rs 1.15 to Rs 259.40 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded higher Rs 1.15 or 0.45 per cent at Rs 259.40 per kg with a business turnover of 517 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
