Aluminium prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange on Thursday due to weak demand from consuming industries, prompting participants to reduce their positions.
New Delhi, Sep 5 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Thursday declined Rs 2.20 to Rs 219.65 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in October fell Rs 2.20 or 0.99 per cent to Rs 219.65 per kg in 301 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
