Aluminium prices climbed 0.68% to Rs 229.20 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by fresh positions amid demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Aug 23 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Friday climbed 0.68 per cent to Rs 229.20 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for September delivery increased Rs 1.55 or 0.68 per cent to Rs 229.20 per kg in a business turnover of 2,523 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
