Copper Futures Decline on Weak Demand in India
Copper futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange fell 0.04% to Rs 801.30 per kg due to reduced positions and weak demand in the domestic market.
New Delhi, Dec 26 (PTI) Copper futures on Thursday fell 0.04 per cent to Rs 801.30 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for January delivery eased by 35 paise or 0.04 per cent to Rs 801.30 per kg in a business turnover of 8,904 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in futures trade.
