Copper Futures Decline on Weak Demand

Copper futures fell 0.71% on the Multi Commodity Exchange on Friday, driven by reduced positions and weak domestic demand. Analysts cite lower bets by participants.
New Delhi, May 9 (PTI) Copper futures on Friday slipped 0.71 per cent to Rs 852.45 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for May delivery eased by Rs 6.10 or 0.71 per cent to Rs 852.45 per kilogram in a business turnover of 899 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices to lower bets by participants.
