Copper Futures Fall on Weak Demand in India
Copper futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell 0.63% to Rs 887 per kg on Friday due to weak demand in the domestic market. Analysts attribute the decline to speculators trimming positions.
New Delhi, Mar 7 (PTI) Copper futures on Friday fell 0.63 per cent to Rs 887 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery eased Rs 5.60 or 0.63 per cent to Rs 887 per kg in a business turnover of 1,431 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
