Copper Futures Fall on Weak Demand

Copper futures decline in India due to weak domestic demand. September contracts ease on MCX. Analysts cite reduced positions by participants.
New Delhi, Aug 11 (PTI) Copper futures on Monday fell Rs 1.35 to Rs 892.30 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for September delivery eased Rs 1.35 or 0.15 per cent to Rs 892.30 per kilogram in a business turnover of 1,545 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices to lower bets by participants.
