Copper Futures Fall on Weak Demand

Copper futures decline on MCX due to muted domestic demand. January contract eases to Rs 1,053/kg. Analysts cite lower participation.
New Delhi, Dec 2 (PTI) Copper futures on Tuesday fell Rs 5.15 to Rs 1,053 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper futures for the January contract eased by Rs 5.15 or 0.49 per cent to Rs 1,053 per kilogram in a business turnover of 1,403 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices to lower bets by participants.
