Copper Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Copper futures climbed 1.28% to Rs 1,017/kg on MCX due to increased spot demand. Analysts cite higher participant bets as the reason.
New Delhi, Oct 9 (PTI) Copper futures rose 1.28 per cent to Rs 1,017 per kilogram on Thursday due to higher spot demand.


On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for November delivery grew Rs 12.90, or 1.28 per cent, to Rs 1,017 per kg in a business turnover of 1,895 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
