Copper Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Copper futures climbed 0.8% to Rs 1,097.40/kg on MCX due to increased spot demand. Analysts cite higher participant bets as a key factor.
New Delhi, Dec 10 (PTI) Copper futures rose 0.8 per cent to Rs 1,097.40 per kilogram on Wednesday due to higher spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for January delivery grew Rs 8.70 or 0.8 per cent to Rs 1,097.40 per kg in a business turnover of 2,210 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
