Copper Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Copper futures climbed 1% to Rs 1,119.40/kg on MCX due to increased spot demand. Analysts cite higher participant bets as the reason.
New Delhi, Dec 15 (PTI) Copper futures rose 1 per cent to Rs 1,119.40 per kilogram on Monday due to higher spot demand.


On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for January delivery grew Rs 11.05 or 1 per cent to Rs 1,119.40 per kg in a business turnover of 4,228 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
