Copper futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell 0.29% to Rs 768.65 per kg due to weak domestic demand and position trimming by speculators.
New Delhi, Aug 8 (PTI) Copper futures on Thursday fell 0.29 per cent to Rs 768.65 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for August delivery eased by Rs 2.25 or 0.29 per cent to Rs 774.60 per kg in a business turnover of 14,409 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
