Copper futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange fell 0.08% to Rs 849.20 per kg on Monday, driven by muted demand and trimming of positions by speculators.
New Delhi, Jun 24 (PTI) Copper futures on Monday fell 0.08 per cent to Rs 849.20 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for July delivery eased by 70 paise or 0.08 per cent to Rs 849.20 per kg in a business turnover of 7,441 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
