By Rediff Money Desk, New Delhi Jul 22, 2024 12:54
Copper futures declined on Monday due to muted demand in the domestic market. Analysts attribute the drop to speculators reducing their positions.
New Delhi, Jul 22 (PTI) Copper futures on Monday fell 0.65 per cent to Rs 815 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for July delivery eased by Rs 5.30 or 0.65 per cent to Rs 815 per kg in a business turnover of 8,213 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
