Coriander Futures Surge on Demand

Coriander futures prices rose in India due to increased demand and tight supplies, driven by a strong spot market. Read more on the price hike.
New Delhi, Jan 13 (PTI) Coriander prices on Monday increased Rs 20 to Rs 7,688 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings, tracking a firm trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander contracts for January delivery climbed Rs 20 or 0.26 per cent to Rs 7,688 per quintal in 8,675 lots.
A firm trend in the spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices, market analysts said.
