Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Rise on Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures rose on Thursday due to increased demand for cattle feed, driving prices up by Rs 10 to Rs 2,709 per quintal. Speculators created fresh positions, pushing the open interest to 43,990 lots.
New Delhi, Jan 30 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Thursday rose Rs 10 to Rs 2,709 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for February delivery traded higher by Rs 10 or 0.37 per cent at Rs 2,709 per quintal with an open interest of 43,990 lots.
Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for February delivery traded higher by Rs 10 or 0.37 per cent at Rs 2,709 per quintal with an open interest of 43,990 lots.
