Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Rise on Higher Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures prices rose on Tuesday due to increased demand for cattle feed. Speculators created fresh positions, pushing prices up by Rs 37 to Rs 2,980 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange.

New Delhi, Sep 10 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Tuesday rose Rs 37 to Rs 2,980 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid a higher demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for December delivery traded higher by Rs 37 or 1.24 per cent at Rs 2,980 per quintal with an open interest of 13,070 lots.

Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
