Cottonseed Oil Futures Decline on Soft Demand

Cottonseed oil cake prices fell in futures trade on Thursday, driven by weak spot market trends and a sell-off by participants.
New Delhi, Jan 16 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Thursday declined Rs 2 to Rs 2,782 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets following weak trends in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for February delivery traded lower Rs 2 or 0.07 per cent at Rs 2,782 per quintal with an open interest of 44,860 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels amid a subdued trend in the market mainly weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.
