Cottonseed Oil Futures Decline on Weak Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures prices fell on Tuesday due to weak demand in spot markets. Participants reduced their bets, leading to a decline of Rs 5 to Rs 3,009 per quintal.
New Delhi, Sep 24 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Tuesday declined Rs 5 to Rs 3,009 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets following weak trends in spot markets.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for December delivery fell Rs 5 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 3,009 per quintal with an open interest of 18,020 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels amid a subdued trend in the market mainly weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for December delivery fell Rs 5 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 3,009 per quintal with an open interest of 18,020 lots.
