Cottonseed Oil Futures Drop on Weak Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures declined on Monday due to weak demand in spot markets, causing prices to fall by Rs 52 per quintal. Participants reduced their bets, leading to a sell-off.
New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Monday fell Rs 52 to Rs 2,554 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets following weak trends in spot markets.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for February delivery fell Rs 52 or 2.04 per cent to Rs 2,554 per quintal with an open interest of 53,850 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels amid a subdued trend in the market mainly weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for February delivery fell Rs 52 or 2.04 per cent to Rs 2,554 per quintal with an open interest of 53,850 lots.
