Crude Oil Prices Decline on Low Demand - PTI

Crude oil futures declined on Monday due to weak demand, dropping Rs 25 to Rs 6,178 per barrel. Global oil prices also fell with West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude both lower.

New Delhi, Sep 2 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Monday declined Rs 25 to Rs 6,178 per barrel in futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for September delivery traded lower Rs 25 or 0.4 per cent at Rs 6,178 per barrel in 10,668 lots.

Analysts said declining of bets by participants kept crude oil prices lower in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil fell by 0.34 per cent to USD 73.30 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.40 per cent lower at USD 76.62 per barrel in New York.
