Guar Gum Futures Drop on Weak Demand

Guar gum futures prices fell on Wednesday due to low demand in the spot market and ample supplies. The December contract dropped to Rs 10,336 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange.
New Delhi, Nov 27 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Wednesday dropped Rs 31 to Rs 10,336 per quintal in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for December delivery fell Rs 31 or 0.30 per cent to Rs 10,336 per quintal in 42,310 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
