Guar Gum Futures Fall: Low Demand Impacts Prices

Guar gum futures decline on low demand. Prices fell Rs 34 to Rs 8,719 per quintal. Weak spot market trend and ample supplies cited.
New Delhi, Nov 7 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Friday fell Rs 34 to Rs 8,719 per quintal in the futures trade as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for December delivery declined by Rs 34 or 0.39 per cent to Rs 8,719 per quintal in 34,885 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
