Guar gum futures prices fell on Monday due to weak demand in the spot market and ample supply. Traders offloaded holdings, pushing prices down by Rs 6 to Rs 10,877 per quintal.
New Delhi, Sep 16 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday dropped Rs 6 to Rs 10,877 per quintal in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for October delivery fell Rs 6 or 0.06 per cent to Rs 10,877 per quintal in 49,275 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
