Guar Gum Futures Rise on Demand

Guar gum futures jump on firm spot demand. January contracts rise on NCDEX. Analyst reports suggest physical market trend driving prices.
New Delhi, Dec 15 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday rose Rs 181 to Rs 9,327 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 181 or 1.94 per cent at Rs 9,327 per quintal with an open interest of 51,130 lots.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to a rise in guar gum prices.
