Guar Gum Futures Surge 2% on Strong Demand - PTI

Guar gum prices rose sharply on Thursday driven by firm spot demand and increased speculation. Futures contracts on the NCDEX surged by 2.45% to Rs 10,586 per five quintals.
New Delhi, Jul 18 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Thursday increased by Rs 259 to Rs 10,586 per five quintals in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for July delivery traded higher by Rs 259 or 2.45 per cent at Rs 10,586 per five quintals with an open interest of 315 lots.
Analysts said traders raised their bets following firm trends in physical markets.
