Guar Gum Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI

Guar gum futures prices on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) rose on Thursday due to firm spot demand and increased speculation.
New Delhi, Jan 16 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Thursday increased Rs 114 to Rs 10,564 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for February delivery traded higher by Rs 114 or 1.08 per cent at Rs 10,564 per quintal with an open interest of 56,485 lots.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
