Guar seed futures prices increased due to speculator positions, spot market strength, and thin supplies. December contracts rose on NCDEX.
New Delhi, Dec 3 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Wednesday increased Rs 4 to Rs 4,791 per quintal in the futures trade after speculators widened their positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for December delivery rose Rs 4 or 0.08 per cent to Rs 4,791 per quintal with an open interest of 29,740 lots.

According to marketmen, speculators raising bets, a firm trend in the spot market, and thin supplies from growing belts mainly led to the rise in guar seed prices.
