Guar Seed Prices Fall on Ample Supply

Guar seed futures decline on ample supplies. February contracts fell Rs 100 to Rs 5,590/quintal. Marketmen cite increasing supplies.
New Delhi, Jan 8 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Thursday declined Rs 100 to Rs 5,590 per quintal in futures trade amid ample supplies.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for February delivery fell Rs 100 or 1.73 per cent to Rs 5,590 per quintal with an open interest of 64,080 lots.
Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
