Zinc prices fell 0.14% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to weak demand from consuming industries, according to analysts.
New Delhi, Apr 22 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.14 per cent to Rs 247.75 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposures, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded lower by 35 paise or 0.14 per cent at Rs 247.75 per kg in 2,255 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
