Zinc Futures Decline on Weak Demand - PTI
Zinc prices fell 0.47% on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Tuesday, driven by weak demand from consuming industries. Speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
New Delhi, Dec 3 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.47 per cent to Rs 284.30 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded Rs 1.35 or 0.47 per cent lower at Rs 284.30 per kg in 2,732 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
