Zinc Futures Decline on Weak Demand - PTI
Zinc futures prices fell 0.57% on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday, driven by weak demand from consuming industries and reduced speculation.
New Delhi, Feb 10 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.57 per cent to Rs 271.55 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded lower by Rs 1.55 or 0.57 per cent at Rs 271.55 per kg in 578 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
