Zinc Futures Decline on Weak Demand - PTI
Zinc prices fell 0.82% on Tuesday, driven by weak demand and speculators reducing their exposure. The decline was attributed to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market.
New Delhi, Feb 11 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.82 per cent to Rs 270.90 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded Rs 2.25 or 0.82 per cent lower at Rs 270.90 per kg in 600 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
