Zinc futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell 0.65% on Friday, driven by muted demand from consuming industries and speculation reduction.
New Delhi, Sep 20 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.65 per cent to Rs 267.65 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded Rs 1.75 or 0.65 per cent lower at Rs 267.65 per kg in 1,352 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
