Zinc futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell 1.25% to Rs 244.35 per kg on Wednesday due to reduced speculator activity and weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Aug 7 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 1.25 per cent to Rs 244.35 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery traded Rs 3.10 or 1.25 per cent lower at Rs 244.35 per kg in 2,218 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
