New Delhi, Dec 15 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 2.25 to Rs 315.35 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.


On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 2.25 or 0.72 per cent to Rs 315.35 per kilogram with a business turnover of 1,006 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
