Zinc Futures Rise on Demand: MCX Prices Up

Zinc futures climb on MCX due to strong spot demand. November contract at Rs 303.85/kg, December at Rs 296.90/kg. Details inside.
New Delhi, Nov 20 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.90 to Rs 303.85 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for November delivery traded higher by Rs 1.90, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 303.85 per kg in a business turnover of 2,520 lots.
The December contract increased by Rs 2.20, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 296.90 per kilogram in 1,539 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
