Zinc Futures Rise on Demand: MCX Trading

Zinc futures climb on MCX due to increased spot demand. November contracts up 0.5% at Rs 301.85/kg. Marketmen cite widening positions.
New Delhi, Oct 29 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 1.50 to Rs 301.85 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for November delivery traded higher by Rs 1.50 or 0.5 per cent to Rs 301.85 per kilogram with a business turnover of 2,613 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
